Isle of Man Motor museum?

Those of you who know of the Isle of Man, raise your hands. Hmmm, just a few. And why is that? There could be any number of reasons, but it’s not one of those places that spends millions promoting itself. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth your time. Exactly the opposite.

For reference, the Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown dependency in the Irish Sea between England and Ireland. It’s known for its rugged coastline, medieval castles and rural landscape, rising to a mountainous center. In the capital, Douglas, the Manx Museum traces the island’s Celtic and Viking heritage. The Isle of Man TT is a major annual cross-country motorcycle race around the island.

How about that, as far as touristic check-lists go? You’ll have plenty to do, one of which might come as a surprise – an auto museum on a small island? Well …. boys and their toys and all of that. Yet another reason to give the Isle of Man a visit. Watch the video below to learn more. Situated on the former RAF Jurby in the sunny north of the Isle of Man, the privately funded Isle of Man Motor Museum was purpose designed and houses over 500 vehicles.
