Did someone say free tapas?

As if being in Spain isn’t enough for your average tourist, we have something here that will make visiting even more exciting, especially if you like a good deal . . and a good deal more. Arguably one of Spain’s most significant contributions to global gastronomy, the tapa comes in all shapes and sizes, from the humble olive or a few potato chips all the way through to miniature banquets. The price of tapa or pincho varies: some are offered free with a caña of beer or a glass of wine, and others are charged separately. But, of course, good manners would suggest that you pay what seems right. It will always be worth it, as the Spaniards take their tapas seriously.
