Will there be a battle for Tatel?

What a headline that is. What does it even mean? Let’s get to the bottom of it, shall we? Portuguese football team captain and former Real Madrid striker (and dreamboat) Cristiano Ronaldo, and international tennis legend Rafael Nadal, are behind the Tatel restaurant due to open in Spain’s third-largest metropolis this summer. It belongs to the Mabel Hospitality Group, and joins others already open in California, Qatar, Madrid and Ibiza. Tatel restaurants are included in the USA Today ranking of the 25 best eateries ‘worth the detour’ and also this year’s TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

The Spanish take their cuisine seriously. Even the children are adventuresome from an early age.

If you’ve been hiding under a rock (during Covid especially) Ibiza is a popular island located in the Mediterranean Sea, off the eastern coast of Spain. It is part of the Balearic Islands archipelago and is known for its vibrant nightlife, beautiful beaches, and electronic music scene. Ibiza attracts millions of tourists each year, particularly those looking for a lively party atmosphere.

The island is renowned for its world-famous nightclubs, such as Pacha, Amnesia, Ushuaïa, and Privilege, where international DJs and artists perform throughout the summer season. Ibiza’s nightlife extends beyond the clubs, with numerous beach bars, rooftop lounges, and sunset parties offering diverse entertainment options.

In addition to its nightlife, Ibiza boasts stunning natural beauty. The island features picturesque beaches with crystal-clear turquoise waters, including Playa d’en Bossa, Talamanca, Cala Bassa, and Cala Conta. These beaches offer opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, and engaging in water sports such as jet skiing, paddleboarding, and snorkeling.

If there is a battle, it will be the struggle to book a table. Better book soon! And better get ready for the next World Cup. Read more here about Tatel courtesy of the always fun and informational ThinkSpain.com
