Ah, China. A place of so much interest and of so much intrigue. So many of us lust to visit and have the best of intentions but, sometimes the Chinese government doesn’t always make us feel welcome. And that is not to point fingers at its people: we’re quite sure that they would readily welcome responsible tourists any day. So it ends up being and ying / yang / to / fro exercise in well-intentioned frustration for all involved. Maybe someday our governmental big-wigs will melt their guns and let the world love each other again.
